This is what the internet has given us. We are never alone. I have never heard of this benign masochism theory before but I strongly identify with it. I’m interested at what point it becomes no longer benign. Honestly dog and cat breath are one of my favourite smells and I’m so glad you wrote this. Sweat can smell amazing and gross, I don’t think I have anything else to add though if I think of something I will be sure to let you know!
